Delete your Nyusie account
This page explains how to delete your account in Nyusie, the audio news app from 17774699 Canada Inc., what happens to your data, and how to request deletion here without the app.
Delete your account in the app
On Android
- Open Nyusie and go to:
Settings›Account›Delete account
- Confirm that you want to delete your account. Nyusie then opens this page.
- Enter your account email, type the 6-digit code we email you, and confirm. That completes the request.
On iPhone
- Open Nyusie and go to:
Settings›Account›Delete account
- Confirm that you want to delete your account. That completes the request.

Don't have the app anymore? You can request deletion right here, without installing anything.
Delete ?
You'll be signed out of Nyusie straight away. If you change your mind, sign in to the app within 7 days and everything will be as you left it. After that, your account and data are permanently deleted.

Request by email
Send an email to privacy@nyusie.com from the address on your Nyusie account, asking us to delete it. We'll confirm by reply, and the same 7-day timeline below applies from that confirmation.

What happens after you confirm
| When | What happens |

| Straight away | You're signed out of Nyusie on every device, and your account is scheduled for deletion. |
| Days 1 to 7 | Your data is kept so you can change your mind. Sign in to the Nyusie app with the same account and everything is as you left it, with no need to sign up again. |
| Day 8 | Your account and all its data are permanently deleted. This can't be undone, and we can no longer help with anything about the old account. |
You're welcome back any time. After deletion you can create a new account with the same email address; it starts fresh on the Free plan.
What is deleted
On day 8 we permanently delete everything we hold about your account, including:
- Your account and profile: name, email address and sign-in details
- Location settings and the place names used for your briefs
- Your briefs, deep dives, their audio and transcripts, and your brief history
- Listening activity: plays, streaks, topic usage and monthly allowance counts
- Subscription and founding-member records stored by Nyusie
- Records of the service emails we sent you
What is kept
Nyusie keeps nothing about your account after day 8. Two things sit outside our systems:
- Store purchase records. If you subscribed, Apple or Google keeps its own record of your purchases under its privacy policy. We can't delete those.
- Audio on your phone. Briefs already downloaded to your device stay there until you uninstall Nyusie or clear its storage.
